Leap Learning Literacy's Founder: Camille Allred, B.S., C- SLDS

Leap Learning Literacy therapy was founded by Camille Allred. Camille taught for years as a regular education teacher and regardless of her tireless individualized efforts in teaching children to read, there were always a few that had challenges processing language and had limited progress.

Frustrated by the lack of available support for her students, Camille acquired knowledge of the Orton-Gillingham approach where she became competent in teaching with a multi-sensory technique. Through this teaching method Camille is able to reach every student that she works with, so that literally “no child is left behind”.

Camille currently resides in beautiful Heber City, Utah where she can be found painting, playing guitar, hiking, biking, and skiing in the picturesque mountains surrounding her home. Her passion is facilitating children with skills they need to become proficient readers.

Years of Dedication

Camille earned her Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Utah and she has earned her credentials as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist. She has worked in private, charter, and public schools in Utah and has been working with the Orton-Gillingham approach since 2014.

Since 2020, she has been providing literacy instruction and therapy utilizing Lexercise's structured literacy curriculum.

Kathy Moore, M.Ed.,  C- SLDS

With 34 years of experience in special education, I have dedicated my career to helping diverse learners succeed. I earned degrees in Elementary and Special Education from Boston College and Educational Technology from Long Island University, along with advanced graduate studies in Reading.

I began my career in public education on Long Island, New York, where I developed a passion for effective literacy instruction and supporting students with learning differences. After retiring from my first career, I relocated to North Carolina and returned to the classroom, serving for the past 5½ years as a K–5 resource teacher and Exceptional Children (EC) Chairperson.      â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

A pivotal experience working with a student with dyslexia inspired me to pursue extensive training in the Orton-Gillingham approach and deepen my expertise in research-based literacy instruction.

Now retiring from my second career in education, I am excited to begin a new chapter as a dyslexia therapist with Leap Learning Literacy, continuing my lifelong commitment to helping students build confidence and success in reading.
